Simon Bailey @ Wrekin 2009

Another busy weekend on the fells and mountains of England and Wales (Scots race El-Brim-Ick Dash is postponed). A weekend of great names too – from Lads Leap to the Blakey Blitz. Nothing is particularly long, but there are some tough races going ahead…

Saturday’s Causey Pike is know as a very tough race, with nearly 1800ft of gain in a race that is only 4.5 miles long, and it looks like top fell man Rob Jebb will be making the trip, if the inov8uk Twitter is anything to go by. Same ‘toughie’ story over at the Llangynhafal Loop in Wales, and Sunday sees the classic Wrekin Race taking place, which always attracts a large field…

Enjoy, and be safe out there!
