High Peak Marathon is this weekend...

This historic annual 42-mile jaunt-in-the-dark through the Peak District kicks off tomorrow night (5 March) at 10pm. The High Peak Marathon is a night time navigation race for teams of four, starting and finishing at Edale Village Hall, Derbyshire.

There are 55 teams entered with a rather good looking Team Vasque comprising multiple winner Mark Hartell. Now in its 38th year the High Peak Marathon the event is considered one of the toughest on the navigational calendar.

    Had a pretty gnarly recce of the Cutthroat Bridge to Snake Pass section last week. Can’t wait to get started on the main event tonight!
