Speake takes Rd1 of English Fell champs
It was high noon on the Noon Stone on Saturday as renowned orienteer Matt Speake overhauled the cream of English fell running to take a slender win over Dark Peak team-mate Lloyd Taggart. Rob Hope took third place with 2009 champion Simon Bailey in seventh…
The weather was by all accounts misty up on the tops, and there is discussion a plenty on the FRA site regarding navigation in the gloomy conditions. Olivia Walwyn was a convincing winner of the ladies race, winning by over 4 minutes from Emma Clayton, closely followed by Anna Lupton in third.
Full results on the Tormorden Harriers site along with some great images.

Just to clarify, I was 2nd at Noonstone. You must have missed me out when looking through the results.
