Kiplagat will not defend World XC title
Reigning womens World Cross Country champion Florence Kiplagat will not be on the start line in Poland for the 38th edition, on the 28th of March. Understandable really when you consider that the Kenyan has not run in anger since last year…
Speaking to Kenyan national the Daily Nation, Kiplagat told the paper of a hamstring injury that has held her training back for some time and said that “a persistent cough and flu also barred me from training since December 24 last year” – hardly ideal preparation.
