Dathan puts on the Ritz at US XC champs
Dathan Ritzenhein won his third senior USATF xc title in Indianapolis today, running away from a select group with around 3km to go. With many top athletes choosing to sit the race out ‘Ritz’ was always going to be head and shoulders above the rest…
However, watching the live stream on LetsRun.com one was left with the feeling that he won it as he liked, when he liked. Ritzenhein now goes on to the World ‘cross where he can expect a far tougher time of it.
In the women’s event Shalane Flanagan had earlier demolished the field in an equally emphatic fashion.
