2010 Vertical World Circuit® hits the stairs in Milan
The 2010 Vertical World Circuit gets underway this Sunday (24 January) at the Vertical Sprint Regione Lombardia. The event is organized by Vista Comunicazione in collaboration with the International Skyrunning Federation which has carried out research on Vertical Running® since 2007.
Altra Sede, Milan
A two-heat round the first of the two legs will climb the 31 floors up the ‘traditional’ Pirelli building designed by Gio Ponti in 1956, the second heat climbs the 39 floors of Lombardy Region’s new headquarters, Altra Sede, still under construction – both buildings are the highest in Italy…
Many of the world’s top tower runners will be joined by international mountain runners such athletes as Anna Frost and Natalie White in Italy, with top Brits Ricky Lightfoot and Andy Symonds (pictured) appearing in London in February.

Moving swiftly on the circuit then travels to New York and London for the historic Empire State Building Run-Up and the brand-new ascent up London’s ‘Gherkin’, the NSPCC Step Change race.
From there it’s back to the Continent for the Tower Running Basel race, in Switzerland.
