Mo' is grounded in Dublin

The head of endurance running at UKA, Ian Stewart, doesn’t think that there is too much wrong with Mo Farah, but none the less still sees the need to send the Brit distance ace off to see the UKA specialists to make sure that he is physically sound…

Farah blasted off at the Great Edinburgh XC 4km race on Saturday, perhaps in an effort to lay the ghost of Dublin where the Newham and Essex Beagle collapsed at the end of the European title race, finishing runner-up for the second consecutive year.

Speaking to the Telegraph Stewart said:

“Obviously we’re concerned and we want to check him so we’re going to have him scanned and screened to make sure he’s completely healthy. But, to be honest, I don’t think there is too much wrong with him. He’s training very, very hard at the moment and he shouldn’t have rushed out the way he did at the start of the race.”
