GB Euro medalists to race Antrim
Outside of big BUPA Edinburgh XC in Jan the only other notable IAAF cross country event within the home nations is in Northern Ireland. The Antrim International has long been a staple on the XC calendar and attracts many of the big hitters from the world XC stage…
With Belfast a hop and skip for most mainland based athletes the event has also been a popular foray for the GB exponents too.
Recently crowned European Junior Cross Country bronze medallist Kate Avery will compete in next months Antrim IAAF Cross Country International at the Greenmount Campus Antrim on 23rd January. The IAAF event is organised and promoted by Athletics Northern Ireland and sponsored by Antrim Borough Council and McCain.
