Euro XC - Final preview
Just two days away now for the biggest athletics event to hit the shores of Ireland in recent years. The SPAR European Cross Country Championships will bring a host of colour to the emerald isle and some hot racing to boot…
The net is now full of previews and predictions, but we are going to leave the last word to the global daddy of athletic insight, with this in-depth preview from Jorg Wenig for the IAAF.
Lebid going for number nine, Augusto for number one
Ukraine’s Sergiy Lebid intends to further add to his unique collection of gold medals in this event. So far he has won eight of the 15 men’s races. While Lebid must be regarded as the favourite at his specialist event, Britain’s Mo Farah could be the one to deny the Ukrainian.
