Scottish District XC Champs
The East and West of Scotland held their respective cross country championships this weekend, and the competition was fierce. Livingston and Irvine hosted two terrific meets of XC with Shettleston’s Tsegai Tewelde and Edinburgh’s Emily Stewart amongst the winners…
East District Champs
Continuing his good winter form ahead of an important track year with the Commonwealth Games in Delhi 2010, Central AC’s Alastair Hay won the Scottish East District Cross Country Championships title in Livingston on Saturday
West District Champs
Shettleston Harriers duo Tsegei Tewelde and Teweldeberhan Mengisteab, the top two athletes in the 2008/09 Stewarts Cross Country Grand Prix, kick started their 2009/10 campaign when finishing first and second respectively in the West District Cross Country Championships in Irvine on Saturday (5 December), the opening race in the series.
