Davies takes cracking win at Cardington
237 runners turned out in bright, sunny conditions at yesterday’s Cardington Cracker. In contrast to some of the foul weather in the Marches over the last few weeks the Shropshire race was blessed with sunshine…
The strong wind didn’t hinder Mercia’s international mountain man, Andy Davies, who led from early on to win by a comfortable 2 minutes from Steven Cale. Calder valley’s Helen Fines made one of her regular forays into the border area and won easily from newly-crowned Welsh women’s fell champ Andrea Rowlands.
