Early news comes from the ceiling of the world that Kiwi Anna Frost has produced a staggering performance at the Everest Marathon. Although results and times are provisional at this stage, the Commonwealth champion placed 6th overall and produced a time of 4hrs 35 minutes…

The time takes a huge 25 minutes off the record set by Angela Mudge in 2007.

Welshman Matt Gilbert also produced a storming effort, despite not being a competitor until the last minute. Gil replaced an athlete who was taken ill with a virus and donned his kit to finish 8th in 4:55.
