Entries are in, the teams are picked, and it’s now or never for the 2009 European Cross Country Championships hopefuls as they enter the final week of preparation before Dublin becomes a sea of international colour next weekend…

The men’s and women’s entries are complete and on the European Athletics site. There is also some interesting news regarding 2007 women’s senior champion Marta Domínguez, who has withdrawn, the Italians are lying in wait with Andrea Lalli ready to lead the charge, those who can afford it (after paying the entry fee) can get yourself some posh grub once there and youngsters can even become an EA reporter for the day...

Personally, I think the Irish organising committee have done a great job to date, and it should be quite some XC meet – expect a full preview next week on MST.
