UK's top fell runners head to Turbo X
The last race of the 2009 Saab Salomon Turbo X race series hits Bordon in Surrey this Sunday, for what should be the biggest event of the year. Over 1200 entrants have put themselves down for the 10 miles of trail, bog and flog.
Top UK fell runners, and members of the Saab Salomon Outdoor Team, Ricky Lightfoot, Rob Hope, Andy Symonds and Natalie White, will be lining-up against some of the south’s top XC and trail runners to take on the best that Bordon can throw at them.
As Salomon unveils the fourth race in this year’s series of SAAB Salomon Turbo X races, this Sunday this author will be chancing his arm at some live commentary and MCing. Rest assured those nice people at Salomon and 2:09 events will ‘make’ mud and goo, if it hasn’t been deposited by Mother nature. Expect a full report early next week…
Get prepared for the best off-roader of the year. Saab Salomon are back to put on a second year of gnarly off-road trails in the Turbo X series. Hill haters, bog bandits and mud masochists beware, we’ve got some cracking trails to push your limits and test your patience!
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out on trail, you’ll love these events: Turbo X will have you clambering up hills and through the muckiest sand and marsh we can find… At 10 miles you can choose to run Turbo X alongside your mates just for fun, or you can go for gold and compete against some of the best trail runners the UK has to offer.
