Heneghan and Clayton take Yorks titles
Bright young prospect Mel Hyder won the U18 women’s event and women’s event overall (but will not be shown as such in the history books, as she is too young!). Second in the race, but crowned U23 and Senior women’s champ was England international Emma Clayton. Young Helm Hill runner Hyder (subject of this BBC Newsround film too) is surely destined for a very bright future in the sport.
Full results now online, with a gaggle of great shots here, here and here.
