Simon Booth at Langdale

Simon Booth took the win at Saturday’s Langdale Horseshoe race, however it was the the other Simon – Bailey – who took the English Fell Running Championship. His third place on Saturday was good enough as 2009 British Champion Rob Hope (who could have theoretically challenged Bailey) finished in fourth place on the day…

After the 14 miles of mud and climbing just 20 seconds separated the first 5 runners!

The Langdale start

Phillipa Jackson had already done enough to win the 2009 women’s title and subsequently didn’t take part at Langdale. However, Jane Reedy beat all put in front of her to win the Langdale crown, ahead of Helen Whitaker and Jackie Lee.
