Junior Home Internationals
This weekend see the Open British and Irish Junior Fell Running Championships take place in Sedburgh on Sunday. All 5 ‘home’ international countries of England, Wales, Scotland, N Ireland and Ireland will be sending teams…
GB & NI World Mountain Running Championships medal duo Alex Hendry (Central AC) and Robbie Simpson (Deeside) are hot favourites for the U18 honours and will lead the a very strong Scottish team.
Fresh from his win at the English Schools champs last week inov8 sponsored James Knox from Helm Hill Runners will look to add the British crown in the U16 race.
Race programme:
Race 1 10.00am u14s Boys + Girls 2 miles (722’ feet of climb/descent)
Race 2 10.30am u16s Boys + Girls 2.7 miles ( 950’)
Race 3 11.15am u18s Boys + Girls 4 miles (1315’ )
Race 4 12.00am Open race 4.4 miles (1350’ )
The race HQ is Sedbergh School – so head along to cheer on the next generation of British fell running hopefuls!
