3 Peaks photo feast
A big thanks to MST follower Andrew Kitts who put me right on last weekend’s Three Peaks Cyclo Cross race. I do a bit of PR work for some pro bike teams and in the bike industry, and didn’t think that this would float the boat of all of you runners out there…
How wrong I was, as it seems that there were a glut of fell runners having a crack at this two-wheeled classic (Rob Jebb, Ian Holmes, the Peace bros.). Of course Jebby has won both running and cycling versions on numerous occasions, but his gladiatorial effort of 7 straight wins was brought to an end in 2009 – still finishing a close second to MTB legend, and all-round good egg, Nicky Craig is non too shabby.
Most notable for this year’s event is the photo gallery on the Three Peaks site – wow. It seems that year on year the advancement of technology and the spread of ‘amateur photography’ to all who have a digi camera and a flickr account, means some fantastic photography is now emerging from the fells of the UK (and the world).
Take a few minutes out to browse the likes of the Flemings , EddieAllen or Martin Henson. I know it’s bikes, but its still mud, sweat and tears!!!

Mud, Sweat and Tears was dreamt up some time ago. I had returned to the sport of running (competitively) after around a 15 year layoff due to injury.
