Simpson - "I’ve nothing to lose"

Robbie Simpson

Banchory’s Robbie Simpson is the youngest runner competing in the inaugural Commonwealth mountain running championships near Keswick which got under way yesterday and run until Sunday.

Simpson admits he is excited by the prospect of testing himself against older and more experienced rivals. He said: “Keswick will be a different experience as I’m up against senior athletes, but I’ve nothing to lose.”

Mud, Sweat and Tears was dreamt up some time ago. I had returned to the sport of running (competitively) after around a 15 year layoff due to injury.
