Frosty's comeback continues...
The women's podium
Anna Frost took her second win in as many weeks on Sunday, convincingly beating Italian Maria Roberti to win the Drei Zinnen ‘three peaks’ race in the Italian Dolomites. Helmut Schiessl won a close fought men’s race from Timo Zeiler and Gaiardo Marco.
After a highly frustrating season so far the 2008 WMRA GP champ has seemingly got over her knee worries and now taken two big European wins. Her build up to the Everest Marathon in December could have worked out very nicely, as although Anna’s race fitness will be someway short of where it would normally be at this time of the year she will be fresh and raring to go into the autumn season.
Frosty puts the MC straight!
The 17.5 km race rises 1350m in its climb of the famous three peaks, Fischleinboden, Zsigmond and Pian di Cengia. Diagrams and profiles make for interesting reading (see THE TRACK).
