Pete runs 5th fastest Peris Horseshoe
Mercia man Pete Vale romped his way to the fifth fastest Peris Horseshoe race in history on Saturday. Andrea Rowlands won the women’s race. In the Half Paul Jenkinson won the men’s race with international Anna Bartlett leading the girls home…
The ‘Horseshoe starts in Llanberis (North-west Wales), ascends Elidir, Y Garn, Glyder Fawr, Lliwedd, Snowdon and Moel Cynghorion. This beast is considered by many runners to be one of the toughest races on the Welsh calender (if not in the whole of the UK!) at 17.5 miles and 8500ft of ascent.
