Enough time for a smile from Jackie Lee

Yep, this one has been on the fell calendar for years and at around 40 minutes (for the quick ‘uns!) it’s a lovely afternoon sojourn in the Welsh hills. Although it didn’t quite work out like that on Sunday (30), as Al Tye’s photos show, it was a tad soggy.

Still, Eryri new man on the block Sam Smith, and Welsh international Jackie Lee made light work of it to win the men’s and women’s races by healthy margins.

Men
1st 37.56 Sam Smith Eryri
2nd 38.36 Ifan Richards Meirionnydd
3rd 39.02 Chris Near Eryri
4th 39.59 Alan Ward Dark Peak
5th 42.03 Paul Jenkinson Eryri

Women
1st 45.17 Jackie Lee Eryri
2nd 52.53 Louise Emery u/a
3rd 54.58 Joanne Moore u/a
