Plenty of activity over the last week in Scotland with great wins for youngster Robbie Simpson, veteran Colin Donnelly and Veronique Oldham amongst others.

Donnelly and Bannerman win the spoils at Helmsdale
Although well over 1hrs drive north of Inverness, the annual hill race at Helmsdale Highland Games attracted a good field of around 40 runners on Saturday.
Simpson outstanding in World and Commonwealth Trials at Keswick
The trials for the UK teams for the World Championships were held at Keswick on 16 August. The races were also the trials for the Scottish teams for the Commonwealth Championships , which are to be held in Keswick in the middle of next month.

Brian Marshall first at Lomonds of Fife
Brian Marshall had a straightforward win at the Lomonds of Fife in bright and breezy conditions. Jon Ascroft finished 2nd, with Manny Gorman in hot pursuit in 3rd position.
