A pensive Kilian
Behind every great mountain runner, there is a team, sometimes it’s a coach, sometimes it’s a partner, a family, a team of helpers – especially when attempting long-distance records or ‘rounds’.
Well, it looks like Kilian Jornet has all of these things. Of course he also has a strong sponsor too, in Salomon, so the young Spaniard was destined to succeed on his recent GR20 attempt (he just had to do the running bit!).
Here, in Episode 5 of the excellent series of short films dedicated to his efforts, we see how this record would not have been possible without the support mechanisms that were in place. From chefs to volunteer runners and superb weather – like I said, he was destined to succeed!
