Rob Hope rips up the Pike
The mass bask in the sun at Rivington
With some really good weather and a plethora of races to chose from, it was a great weekend (10th-12th) of racing on the hills and fells of the UK. It was time for the Welsh and Scottish national series’ to kick off, (reports to come) and the famous Rivington Pike race in Lancashire.
The classic Rivington Pike at Horwich received nearly 250 entries for the short 3.25 miles course, and similar to last weekend’s British Champs first round it was the Hope brothers who dominated affairs. Rob is currently in super form and his basic speed is obviously as strong as his climbing legs right now as he once again put one over on brother Danny to retain this historic event.
