This weekend sees one of the bedrocks of cross-country running. The English Schools Cross Country Championships (for ‘English’ insert any other nationality) embody the essence of running, and are the place where dreams are born and shattered…
The 49th Boys and 41st Girls ESAA Sainsbury’s English Schools National Cross Country Championship takes place at Stanford Hall this Saturday and will see future stars emerge from the sea of enthusiasm. With the likes of recent Inter-Counties winners Emelia Gorecka, Connor Robinson and Lauren Proctor present you can bet that the racing will be serious at the sharp-end and we may just see some of the winners begin to follow in the footsteps as such illustrious predecessors as Mo Farah, Paula Radcliffe and Frank Tickner.
Racing kicks off at 12.30, so if you are in the Loughborough area, get yourself down to what will be a feast of hard racing.
